| Welcome to my new and improved DHTML menus tutorial! This tutorial has been completely re-written using Adobe GoLive 5. (The earlier version was done in GoLive 4) The number of steps has been drastically reduced, and I think you'll find it easier than ever to learn how to create these menus.
This tutorial assumes that you know what Floating Boxes are, how to place them on your page, how to move them around, and how to resize them. If you do not yet know how to do those things, please refer to the GoLive user guide to familiarize yourself with use of Floating Boxes before beginning this tutorial. The tutorial begins with a short movie, then goes step by step teaching how to set up the Actions needed to create the menus and sub-menus. There are four GIFs used to create this menu, one is the main menu, the other three are the sub-menus. Each one resides in its own floating box. (Note: Download the images from the main page.) The images are named "thecrib_header.gif," "diapers.gif," "bibs.gif" and "teethers.gif." The image called "thecrib_header.gif" is the main menu. It is the image shown when the user enters the page. The other three images are the sub-menus. They are hidden until called by an Action.
